Quota Module
Sensus Web's optional Quota Module brings quota control to on-line interviewing.
The Quota Module lets you set a quota total for a study and quota limits for individual quota cells. Qualifications for individual quota cells can be as complex as you need and you can have as many cells as your study requires.
The Quota Module lets you screen respondents for qualification. Sensus checks if a respondent is a type of person you are looking for, and, if so, whether the quota cell for that person is open. If respondents fail to qualify or their cells are full, the interview is terminated.
Quota limits for a study can be updated at any time. If you increase the quota limit on a cell after it has closed, you can resume interviewing respondents who qualify for that cell, including those terminated because their cells were full.

You can set up quota limits using a straightforward interface
and you can view quota reports online.
Once the total quota for a study is reached, Sensus displays a screen indicating that interviewing for the study has been completed. You can customize this screen, including adding a link that takes respondents to another site.
You can track your quotas using Sensus’ on-line quota report. This report shows you a count of completed interviews by quota cell and date. You can use this report to gauge how long it will take to complete the study. You can grant clients on-line access to this report so they can track their study’s progress directly.

E-mail Module
Sensus’ optional E-mail module simplifies composing, releasing, and logging of messages that you send to your e-mail list of respondents.
You can use the E-mail module to:
- Invite respondents to participate in a survey
- Provide the link, including a login ID and password, to a survey
- Attach letters of endorsement to invitation messages
- Move respondent information from e-mail list into survey
- Send respondents messages reminding them to take a survey
- Thank respondents for their participation
- Deliver electronic incentives
Sensus' E-Mail module lets you release messages manually or automatically based on a time interval you specify or a change in the respondent’s interview status. For example, you can automatically send a reminder message a specified number of days after the release of the invitation message to respondents who have not taken the survey. Or, you can automatically send a thank you message with an electronic incentive attached to respondents immediately upon completion of the survey.
The E-Mail module lets you import a list of e-mail addresses from a comma separated variables file (CSV). This file can be created using programs such as Microsoft Excel or Access. Each e-mail address can also include a title, first name, last name, login ID, password, and up to five pieces of information you might have about the respondent. Sensus lets you merge this information into e-mail messages to personalize the messages. Sensus embeds the login ID and password as part of the e-mail message link to the survey URL so respondents do not have to enter these security checks when they take the survey.

You can send e-mail messages to respondents for a variety of reasons using this comprehensive interface.
And Sensus’ E-Mail module keeps a log of all messages sent. You can view the log at anytime to keep track of messages as they are being released.

Server Options
With Sensus you can deploy your studies on your own Web server, or using a hosting service such as the one we provide.
If you choose to set up your own server, you must license the Sensus server component. The server component requires a Windows 2000 or NT Web server running Integrated Information Systems (IIS).
We offer these three levels of server licenses. Each extends the hosting rights of the one before it:
Server for Single Client
This server license is for departments of universities, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and end-user companies that will be hosting only their own surveys. Examples of this would be large corporations that want to survey their own employees or customers or universities that want to use Sensus to do teacher evaluations or on-campus surveys.
Server for Multiple Clients
This server license is for commercial and academic research organizations that will be hosting Sensus surveys that they create for their clients. Examples of this would be a full service marketing research firms that want to create surveys for their clients or university survey research centers that want to include on-line surveys as part of research contracts.
Hosting Server
This server license is for organizations that want to offer hosting services where clients create their own Sensus surveys and deploy them directly to the hosting organization’s site. Examples of this are marketing research field services that want to grow their businesses by offering to host surveys.
You can upgrade your server component license to a higher level at any time simply by paying the difference in licensing fees.
If you don't want to set up and maintain your own Web server, we offer hosting services
that let you deploy Sensus surveys you create to our server.
