Sensus Rated "best PC-based interviewing package"
Recently, Planung & Analyse, the top German magazine for market research, and Quirk's Marketing Research Review, the premier marketing research magazine in the U.S., have provided favorable reviews of the current version of Sensus. Planung & Analyse reviewed Sensus Q&A in their March/April, 1998 edition and Quirk's reviewed Sensus Q&A and Sensus Multimedia for its July, 1998 issue.
Planung & Analyse's review states that "Sensus Q&A is a mature, high performance interviewing software system" that "offers everything that a survey researcher needs." The review then goes on to discuss the integration of multimedia data collection (using Sensus Multimedia) and conjoint analysis data collection (using Sensus TradeOff) with Sensus Q&A questionnaires.
In addition to praising the software, the review says that "the manual is arranged well and, above all, written clearly," and that the manual provides a "step-by-step approach to the system."
The Quirk's review, written by Steven Struhl and Chris Kuever of Total Research, finds that "Sensus Multimedia is the best PC-based interviewing package we have seen." They tout Sensus Multimedia's "many good features" saying that it "will give you an outstanding solution if you need to do advanced PC-based interviewing. It is flexible, can do complicated skip patterns and logic, and remembers what respondents said for use in later questions. It can sum responses, multiply them, and even exponentiate or do math involving parenthetical statements."
In addition, the Quirk's reviewers praise Sensus Multimedia for letting "you lay out an attractive PC-screen oriented questionnaire, using multiple fonts, pictures, sounds and even animation or movies." The review goes on to say that Sensus Multimedia "is powerful and full-featured, and does many remarkable things. The makers of Sensus obvioulsy have applied long experience in market research to the design of the program and its features, and it shows."
