New Release
Ci3 CATI DOS Expanded to 100 Stations
Users Now Can Update Area Codes
Although Ci3 CATI for Windows already has over 150 users, many centers continue to use the DOS version while they prepare to upgrade their facilities to Windows, and some centers use both systems. Because many users' needs have grown beyond the station and study limits of earlier DOS versions, we created Version 3.3 of our DOS Ci3 CATI System, released in December 1998.
In addition to expanding station and study limits, we incorporated several enhancements suggested by users at our recent user meeting (see related article). Following is a brief description of the major enhancements included in this new release.
36 Active Studies
The number of active studies is expanded from 24 to 36.
Any Pentium PC can serve as a supervisor polling the 100-station system.
User-Edited Area Codes
Users can now edit the area code list to add codes as new area codes are introduced, and to change codes to accommodate daylight savings time and standard time. Users can also add international area codes and time zones to the list.
Installation on Any Network Drive
DOS Ci3 CATI can now be installed on any network drive D to Z.
Other Version 3.3 enhancements speed the operation of the system, improve printing of reports, and simplify data conversion.
Unlimited Station License
Users can now install two or more 100-station systems at the same location for a single license fee.
The license fee for the 100-station system is $30,000; the fee for the unlimited station license is $35,000. Users are credited for their current system purchahse when upgrading to these larger systems. Version upgrade fees depend on current licenses, and range from $100 to $750.
