In addition to its extensive core capabilities, WinCati provides a few optional add-ons.

WinCati’s Mixed Mode option lets you create studies that are pure CATI, pure Web interviewing, or any combination of the two. It is designed to increase cooperation rates, provide a rigorous sampling frame for projecting Web-based results, lower interviewing costs, and shorten studies times.

WinCati’s voice-capture and sound playback option lets you digitally record open-end responses and play commercial jingles and other sound bytes. Voice-captured open-ends can be an effective tool for persuading clients, and the capability to play sound as part of questionnaires can increase your research possibilities. The voice-capture and sound playback require one analog phone line and controller-based voice modem or one analog phone line and Hi-Phone Desk Top external USB dialer. The controller-based modems are available from any local hardware supplier and the Hi-Phone USB dialer is available from the Way2Call website.
